Cancer Counselling and Support

We are here.

Cancer treatments themselves are a difficult ordeal for all of those involved.

Cancer is a much dreaded group of diseases that has unfortunately been around for a long time, and affected a lot of people in some way or the other. Cancers can affect people of all ages and virtually any organ in the human body, but luckily, most cancers have a cure. After going through treatment, many people have survived and lived happy and fulfilling lives.

Going through cancer can be quite a lonely, scary path. Even when people have support, these things can still feel difficult to withstand, and there come a number of feelings and emotions that it is difficult to put into words or express. This is where professional help — or our volunteering Lived Experience Experts — come in. Sometimes, community in the form of someone who knows exactly what you are going through is exactly what you need.

At Freo, we have a cancer support community led by a Lived Experience Cancer-Specialist Nurse, because we know that a lonely road can feel less so when you have the right professional support.

There are certain lifestyle habits that Freo also promotes that have been proven to result in a lower predesposition to many cancers, such as a positive, healthy mental and physical health.

Healthy food, healthy exercise, healthy mind habits and healthy sleep / rest patterns ( FEMS) can reduce cancer triggers, and we have a range of activities and resources to help you achieve those!

For emotional support and cancer councilling, have faith.

Go Freo.
