DANIELA CIOBANU

Daniela has been drawing for as long as she can remember, developing her own style as she paints pictures which are full of impact in an effort to produce “direct emotions”.

Her interest in portraiture, fashion and mixed media affects everything she does in art, from how she chooses subjects to how her images are ultimately portrayed. Take equal amounts of realism, surrealism and expressionism, add a dash of romanticism and mix it all together; Daniela Ciobanu’s bright yet dark illustrations are the final result.

CAZ PERRY

Caz loves her morning walks, and falls in love with the nature around her as she goes. Check out the video below to see Caz’s imagery and hear her words.

POETRY CORNER

I Dare
Dr. Isi

Poem ‘I dare’
written by Dr Isioma Nwokolo, 5/10/22

I dare to dream!!
First and foremost that I am regarded as human….
Not white, black, coloured, yellow….just plain human.

I dare to dream!!
That I am able to dream, vision, provision and attain….
Not shackled, restricted, blacklisted, restrained….just plain able.

I dare to dream!!
That my womanhood is revered, celebrated, appreciated, elevated….
Not desecrated, put down, emaciated, deflated….just plain rated.

I dare to dream!!
Of a time where the colours are all equal, all symbolising reflective stunning beauty, admired…..
Not segregated, racially profiled, denigrated, expired….just plain inspired.

I dare to dream!!
Of a world that is non judgemental, promoting healthy freedom of choice in all peoples…..
Not jaded and impervious to the cries of a mistreated cheated downtrodden nation….Just plain promoting.

I dare to dream!!
Of a love that is all encompassing, for self and for others starting from thy neighbours….
Not dark hurting, hurtful emotions of a peoples with traumatising hatred disguised as prejudice…Just plain Loving.

The Hidden Gem (Strength) In You
Dr. Isi

Poem ‘The Hidden Gem (Strength) In You
written by Dr. Isioma Nwokolo

I see you, amazing person in gray

Struggling, stuttering to have your say

As, once again, it doesn’t seem your day

And a myriad of options haven’t gone your way

Be hopeful, stand tall, in the month of May

The sun is shining and will have a ray

Beckoning and pathing, on new clay

A bright new future today, today!!

The month of May, is anytime you may,

It’s your choice, your thoughts, each brand new day.

A reason to smile, as you choose to pay

Lip service to life in its natural way.

You deserve a good break and for this, I pray,

Lots of life’s goodies on your personal tray,

The ‘remote’ is yours and your choice, to bray,

I am, I will, I do, I can, today, today.
