Etiquette

“A healthy attitude is contagious, but don't wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier.”

— Tom Stoppard

Who is the Etiquette Course for?

Social Etiquette varies from culture to culture. It can be a minefield negotiating how to behave within a workplace or social environment. Whether this is with your boss, colleagues, neighbours or friends.

Currently, we are in a very multicultural society where different social cues and norms mean different things to different people.

Dr. Isioma leads the Etiquette course.

Born in the United Kingdom, living briefly in Poland and Italy, but raised from the age of eight years old in Nigeria, Dr. Isi returned to the UK in year 2000. She has worked a doctor in Nigeria and in England for many years, and so has lived experience of the importance of understanding etiquette and culture

It is usually in the form of an ethical code that defines the expected and accepted social behaviours … observed by a society, a social class, or a social group.”

Good Etiquette is a valuable and important communication tool that ‘speaks’ before you have spoken. It prepares the ground for acceptance and favour in the eyes of your target audience.

People tend to make a first judgement impression of you within the first 2 to 30 seconds of meeting you. It’s that quick. If you have something to offer and it’s not packaged in a way that people expect regarding good etiquette, then incorrect ‘first impression’ judgements can occasionally stick. Various kinds of etiquette exist e.g. in business, relationships, entertainment, education, family, cultures, health etc.

To find out more, you can book a 15 minute free introduction talk, or book your own full Etiquette course.

Dr Isi has done the Train the Trainer Etiquette course from the renouned British school of Etiquette, and helps run our courses appropriate for all age groups and various settings.
