What is Stress?

Stress can feel differently to different people, so there are many definitions of it.

Simply put, Stress is any situation that starts to cause some anxiety, marked awareness or discomfort to your physical, psychological or emotional state. Such states should then trigger your body to respond in a way that reduces the stress, or responds adequately.

There are two main types of Stress: Positive and Negative. Positive Stress should be short-lived and can actually help you to achieve goals required to move you forward to where you want to be.

Negative Stress can be quite unpleasant, especially when prolonged. That is when it can cause damage to you Mentally, Psychologically and Physically.
